Firefox 68 Performance Is Looking Good With WebRender On Linux
The WebXPRT Firefox performance was flat on this AMD Linux system.
JetStream and CanvasMark were also largely flat across the versions tested.
Speedometer improved in Firefox 67.0 by about 11% over the Firefox 66 series but no major changes with Firefox 68.
It was great to see the Firefox 68 WebRender performance improvements principally for MotionMark and Basemark that stress the graphics/DOM usage a lot. For the JavaScript benchmarks, Firefox 67 brought gains in some of the tests but nothing too dramatically different with Firefox 68 performance at this point outside of the graphics/WebRender realm.
