The Performance Of Fedora Core 3 Through Fedora 14
Aside from Fedora Core 4 having done surprisingly well with the GnuPG benchmark, the performance besides that in the 11 other Fedora releases is not interesting.
The MD5 performance in John The Ripper improved back in 2004~2005 on Fedora, but has not changed much since, at least when it comes to running in a 64-bit multi-core virtual machine.
The Blowfish test within John The Ripper was more prone to changes between Fedora releases, but it is good to see Fedora 14 is doing quite well and is doing the best over the past six years of Fedora distribution releases.
