The highly-threaded TTSIOD Renderer did see a small boost in performance from 17.04 to 19.04.

Compiling the Linux kernel as well as the LLVM stack were faster on Ubuntu 19.04. This likely wouldn't be said for Intel in a similar configuration with code compilation being among the real-world workloads impacted by Meltdown/L1TF/MDS.
