As with Intel CPUs, LLVM Clang continues to be mega faster over GCC for code compilation. Clang has long had the advantage of being faster at compiling code (while also generally using less RAM) than the GNU Compiler Collection.

GCC 4.8.2 still manages to edge-out past Clang for the C-Ray multi-threaded ray-tracer since it's been well-tuned by GCC developers.
