RadeonSI Performance For Civilization VI On Linux With Mesa 17.1 + 4.10 Kernel
At 4K with the highest quality settings showed some scaling at least by the different cards, but not even the R9 Fury would be considered playable.
Keep in mind that the game's built-in benchmark is on the heavier side compared to normal gameplay for Civilization VI, but still, it looks like the RadeonSI driver stack could use some further optimizations for this game and hopefully we'll see more improvements out of Aspyr Media given the overall results from both the NVIDIA and AMD tests signifying a major bottleneck happening and these Linux numbers being much lower than Civilization 6 on Windows.
