Coming up I'll also be looking at Clang on Asahi Linux for ruling out any compiler impact differences between the operating systems, but in any event using the stock compiler on Asahi Linux was working out well for the Apple M1 Mac Mini tests.

Overall Asahi Linux on the M1-powered Apple Mac Mini was working out well and genuinely performing better than I expected going into this testing. It will be exciting to see how the performance is once the M1 Linux kernel support is more mature and all the performance / power management items addressed, but even right now Linux on the M1 was delivering good performance even for heavy computational tests.
