Ryzen 9 3900X vs. Ryzen 9 3950X vs. Core i9 9900KS In Nearly 150 Benchmarks

Out of 149 tests run on the three processors, the Ryzen 9 3950X won 128 of them and the Ryzen 9 3900X with its slightly higher base clocks won another 13 tests while the Core i9 9900KS came out just ahead in eight of them.

When taking the geometric mean of all 149 test results, the Ryzen 9 3950X was 49% faster than the Core i9 9900KS while the Ryzen 9 3900X came in 27% faster than the i9-9900KS. The AMD Ryzen 9 performance (along with Threadripper) continues working fantastic on Linux now that the initial launch kinks have been ironed out. Not only was the Ryzen 9 3950X leading in raw performance but it also has a lower TDP than the Core i9 9900KS and tended to deliver better value as well even with the $100 premium.
