While there was some variance in the runs, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5 and openSUSE 13.1 were running the fastest for the compile test inside Compile Bench, which mostly stresses the disk/file-system.

OpenSUSE 13.1 was leading over the other Linux distributions in the initial create task for Compile Bench.

When it came to the PostMark disk benchmark, Debian Linux 7.2 was leading followed by Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0 Beta 1 with its now default XFS file-system.
