At Phoronix, we have seen our fair share of heatsinks and different contraptions from the Waffer PC AirCon PAC400 to more basic heatsinks such as the ATake Phantom Robot Accipiter. Although the item up for testing in this article is nothing incredibly unique, its size is something to praise. The item we're looking at is the Scythe Kamaboko CPU Cooler. Back in the day, CPU heatsinks would only be compatible with one socket, but nowadays in order to drive manufacturing costs down and keep enthusiasts satisfied when changing sockets; it's no longer uncommon for a heatsink to be nearly universal. Scythe's Kamaboko is compatible with Socket 754/939/940 and Socket 478/LGA 775.
