In the case of the SQLite embedded database performance, the XFS-default Linux distributions of CentOS and openSUSE were slower than the rest. Of the EXT4 distributions, Solus 4 was the only outlier in being slower than the others.
In both SQLite benchmarks, Debian 10.2 came out the fastest.
Meanwhile the IOR parallel I/O benchmark, CentOS and Clear Linux were delivering the fastest read and write performance in their "out of the box" configurations.
In the ParaView workstation visualization benchmarks, CentOS and Clear Linux were delivering the fastest performance across the various tests.
