While the Intel Arc Graphics DG2/Alchemist hardware proved quite competitive in the various OpenCL compute benchmarks carried out recently against the NVIDIA GPUs and their proprietary driver stack, on the gaming/graphics side the Arc Graphics continued to lag behind in a number of the tests compared to the NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards.

With the DiRT Rally 2.0 racing game at 1080p high settings all of the Intel Arc Graphics were slower than the GeForce RTX 3060. At the top end at 1080p for this Steam Play game there didn't end up being much of a difference from the RX 6800 XT to RX 7800 XT until pushing them harder at 1440p or 4K.

Aside from the bottom-end Arc Graphics A380, the rest of the Arc Graphics discrete line-up was proving capable of running various Steam on Linux games at 1080p with playable frame-rates although trailing behind the NVIDIA and AMD competition.

While running DiRT Rally 2.0 at 1080p with ultra quality settings, the new Arc Graphics A580 had a power draw similar to the GeForce RTX 3060. The Arc Graphics A750/A770 meanwhile were just below the Radeon RX 6800.

On a performance-per-Watt basis, the DG2/Alchemist dGPUs were comparable to the GeForce RTX 30 results. Unfortunately the NVIDIA-SMI power reporting wasn't working for the GeForce RTX 4060.
