openSUSE Leap Milestone 2 Has Package Updates, Sticks To GCC 4.8

OpenSUSE Leap Milestone 2 features common package updates like Firefox 40, digiKam 4.11, and on the desktop front is using KDE Plasma 15.04.3 and GNOME 3.16.
Oddly, the default compiler for openSUSE Leap is kept at GCC 4.8.5 while GCC 5 is made optional. Presumably due to openSUSE now being more closely aligned with SUSE Linux Enterprise is why GCC5 is not the default (or perhaps the C++11 ABI breakage?) nor upgrading at least to GCC 4.9 as the latest in the GCC 4.x series.
More details on openSUSE Leap Milestone 2 can be found via news.opensuse.org. OpenSUSE Leap is anticipated to be officially released in early November from SUSECon.
