OpenSUSE 13.1 Milestone 1 Released
The openSUSE development community has announced the immediate release of the first milestone release of openSUSE 13.1. This is the distribution's first development release ahead of their plans to ship 13.1 final in November.
Among the changes to find with openSUSE 13.1 is upgrading to GNOME 3.8.1, Apache 2.4, the Linux 3.9 kernel, QEMU 1.4.0, systemd 202, and X.Org Server 1.14.1. Other changes being planned for openSUSE 13.1 is upgrading to GCC 4.8, completely moving to systemd by dropping SysVinit support, and replacing mkinitrd with Dracut.
