OpenCL NVIDIA vs. AMD Testing

LuxMark tends to favor AMD Radeon GPUs a bit over NVIDIA with their drivers, and as such the R9 290 Hawaii on the latest Catalyst Linux driver came out ahead. Coming in second place behind the Radeon R9 290 was the GeForce GTX 780 Ti. The GeForce GTX 750 Ti Maxwell was computing at about the speed of the Radeon HD 7850 and almost to the Radeon R7 260X.

On a performance-per-Watt basis, the Radeon HD 7000 series hardware and newer were a big leap from the Radeon HD 6870 efficiency and was just ahead of the tested NVIDIA hardware.
