Linux 3.5 Through Linux 4.4 Kernel Benchmarks: A 19-Way Kernel Showdown Shows Some Regressions

First up with SQLite, we see a big improvement in performance since Linux 3.11 while there have been no major performance changes since then.

With Compile Bench's initial create workload, the performance regressed in Linux 3.8 and to this day with Linux 4.4 remains slower than Linux 3.5~3.8.

Compile Bench's read compiled tree is no longer bound by disk performance, but for this test we see the performance did drop as well from Linux 3.8 to Linux 3.10 and it did improve between Linux 3.15 and Linux 3.16 but still not back up to the speeds seen on the oldest kernels tested.
