Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Works Great As A Linux Ultrabook

In using the touchpad and keyboard a lot in the past few weeks, I'm very happy with the keyboard and touchpad and have no complaints about it. This laptop does mark the return of the touchpad physical buttons, but in not using the trackpoint much, I tend to use the lower set of buttons. The keyboard felt great and didn't run into any problems with it under Linux. With the new touchpad buttons is the only area of this Linux ultrabook where there seems to be some problems with it being properly recognized, but that's already being taken care of with the latest Linux code.

The integrated 720p web camera worked fine under Linux for both videos and pictures.

Integrated I/O connectivity on this ultrabook included two USB 3.0 ports, headphone/mic combo port, OneLink Dock port, HDMI, mini DP, and via the included connector was the Ethernet port. Via the HDMI port is how I drive my 4K 28-inch display while in the office and it's been working out fine for this laptop without any issues.
