OpenArena was running faster on Ubuntu 14.10 and Fedora 21 over openSUSE Tumbleweed while all of the kernel and Mesa versions were close to one another. By default, Debian doesn't enable the Intel Broadwell graphics support out-of-the-box, hence it uses LLVMpipe.

Xonotic with low image quality settings had openSUSE Tumbleweed turn into the front-runner followed by Manjaro and then Fedora. Ubuntu 14.10 with its Mesa 10.3 stack by default could have benefited more if it were upgraded to Mesa 10.4.x.

Xonotic with the higher OpenGL settings led to a closer race though Fedora 21 looks to have delivered the best frame-rate results.
