Ethereum GPU Cryptocurrency AMD/NVIDIA Mining Performance For Christmas 2017

Here's the look at the Ethereum Ethminer GPU performance using the latest AMD vs. NVIDIA Linux drivers:

The RX Vega 64 is beating out the GTX 1080 Ti still while the RX Vega 56 is just shy of the GTX 1080 Ti performance. The RX 580 meanwhile is coming in a bit short of the GeForce GTX 1060 when using this ROCm Radeon Open Compute OpenCL driver. The GTX 1050 was much faster than the RX 560.

When looking at the performance-per-dollar for the available retail graphics cards, the GeForce GTX 1050 was delivering the best value... Followed by the GT 1030 and RX 560 nearly being tied for second. The higher-end RX Vega and GTX 1070/1080 hardware was understandably further down the stack.
