Debian 6.0 Through Debian 9.0 Benchmarks

With GCC continually adding new optimizations and features, the kernel compilation time has slowed down. Building Linux 4.9 was its build time increase by 14% compared to the Debian 6.0 release from six years ago.

But with the new GCC optimizations, the resulting binaries are sometimes faster as is the case with C-Ray multi-threaded ray-tracing.

These are the Debian 6.0 through 9.0 benchmark results I have available today. More of these i5-2500K + HD 4890 numbers can be found via this OpenBenchmarking.org result file. Still going through my storage room to see what still-functioning systems I might be able to use for a broader Debian GNU/Linux performance comparison for highlighting the Linux performance over the years.
