Unigine Tropics started out on the HD 6450/6870 Northern Islands graphics cards as being 20~24% faster with Catalyst 14.12 Omega while the binary driver's lead expanded to up to 53% with the Radeon R9 290 graphics card. The pre-Hawaii GCN graphics cards were 25~32% faster on Catalyst than the latest open-source Radeon driver.
