AMD Bulldozer Performance On Ubuntu 12.10

For some of the common computational benchmarks, Ubuntu 12.10 on the AMD Bulldozer FX-8150 is faster than Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS, largely due to upstream GCC improvements. However, not all of the computational benchmarks are seeing performance improvements out of the Quantal Quetzal.

Ubuntu 12.10 isn't a win on the AMD Bulldozer system across the board. In other CPU workloads, the FX-8150 is slower with Ubuntu 12.10.
