51 GPUs Tested, From The Radeon HD 2900XT To RX 580 & R9 Fury: Testing The 2017 Linux Driver Stack

Dota with its OpenGL renderer would run on the card back to the HD 3850, albeit very slowly... The RX 580 is 22x faster than the Radeon HD 3850. But the RX 580 still has room to improve as shown by these results with the RX 580 performing in line with the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti in this rather CPU bound case still as seen by the close results. The RadeonSI Gallium3D driver still has greater CPU overhead than the NVIDIA proprietary driver.

It will be interesting to see where the Radeon RX Vega fits in both in the raw performance and performance-per-Watt compared to these past generations.
