ASRock 775Dual-915GL

Since we last had an ASRock motherboard in our labs, which was early August with the VIA-powered 775Dual-880Pro, the engineers over at ASRock have been making some headlines when it comes to their AMD 939Dual-SATA2 product. This motherboard, unlike past ASRock products, is talented when it comes to its overclocking abilities as well as volt modding abilities. Even with this ULI M1695 motherboard and respectable overclocking abilities it continues to be low-cost like all of ASRock's product line-up. Although we have the 939Dual-SATA2 in our labs, the motherboard we have our eyes focused on today is the 775Dual-915GL. Will this i915GL motherboard be the Intel solution for those looking to experience the budgeted success of the AMD 939Dual-SATA2? To start with, the 775Dual-915GL features ASRock's patented AGI Express, onboard VGA support, DDR-400 dual channel, onboard SATA, and 8-channel audio. When it comes to the packaging, ASRock continues using their traditional green cardboard container with various references to the onboard features and on the inside were the exiguous contents. Bundled with the 775Dual-915GL was one SATA data cable, FDD cable, IDE cable, COM port header, SATA power adapter, I/O panel, driver CD, and ASRock installation guide. Included on the driver CD is BETA 64-bit drivers for Microsoft Windows XP. Although ASRock's products do not ship with nearly the amount of accessories as an Abit or ASUS motherboard, this ultimately leads to a lower retail price.
