With looking at the workstation visualization performance using ParaView, the performance between Windows 10 and Linux was most often similar. In some sub-tests, however, Windows 10 did significantly trail behind the Linux distributions -- we have seen that happen on other systems due to the Windows MPI performance generally coming up short of Linux MPI implementations.

When moving to more CPU focused workloads, to much surprise the NAMD performance was the fastest on Windows. With the likes of Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC servers we normally find NAMD leading on Linux but the tables were flipped here. Not only that, Clear Linux was by far the slowest distribution tested.

The MrBayes performance was one of the exceptions to the great Windows showing on the HP ZBook 17 G6 with the Linux distributions all running the same test much faster.
