TUXEDO Aura 15 Gen2 - AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Powered, Linux Laptop

The Aura 15 Gen2 has options for Ryzen 3 5300U, Ryzen 5 5500U, and Ryzen 7 5700U processors. Our review unit was equipped with a Ryzen 5 5500U. The laptop can be configured with up to 64GB of RAM while our review unit was the 16GB model and 8GB is their base configuration.

For those that have not bought from TUXEDO Computers previously, their default OS is a customized version of Ubuntu -- already now offering Ubuntu 22.04 LTS but Ubuntu 20.04 LTS was with the unit at the time prior to last month's launch.

Kubuntu 22.04, Ubuntu Budgie 22.04, or no Linux install at all is an option. TUXEDO can also carry out an encrypted disk install too if so desired. TUXEDO will also pre-install Microsoft Windows 10 Home or Pro editions too at additional cost.

The TUXEDO Aura 15 Gen2 review unit was configured with the Ryzen 5 5500U 6 core / 12 thread CPU with integrated Radeon graphics, 16GB of RAM, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 512GB NVMe SSD, and the standard 15-inch 1080p panel.

Needless to say being from a Linux PC vendor, all of the Aura 15 Gen2 functionality was working fine on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and other modern Linux distributions.

The Aura 15 Gen2 is manufactured by Clevo and had a motherboard identifier of NB01 NL5xNU.
