XanMod, Liquorix Kernels Offer Some Advantages On AMD Ryzen 5 Notebook
In some of the LevelDB tests, Liquorix was yielding faster results than the other kernels that yielded comparable results between them. One of the I/O related changes with Liquorix is the use of BFQ for the I/O scheduler while all other tested kernels defaulted to none for the NVMe solid-state storage.
Meanwhile in select LevelDB tests like overwrite, Liquorix performed the worst while XanMod jumped out ahead of the mainline kernel builds.
With some of the RocksDB benchmarks, Liquorix was also the front-runner.
