2014 Year-End NVIDIA Linux Benchmark Comparison
Lastly are a few OpenCL benchmarks via LuxMark.
With the NVIDIA 340 driver series there is a definitive OpenGL/compute performance improvement that's very measurable with the LuxMark benchmark. Aside from the big leap in performance with the NVIDIA 340 series driver, there weren't any other changes to note this year.
Overall, 2014 was another great year for NVIDIA on Linux with their well-maintained proprietary graphics drivers. A lot of new functionality was introduced this year to the NVIDIA Linux (and BSD/Solaris) drivers while the performance overall for the GeForce GTX 780 Ti was largely flat, but with the many tests run for this article there were OpenCL/OpenGL performance improvements to note as well as some regressions. If I hear anything back from NVIDIA about the regressions after the holidays, I'll be sure to post an update.
