7-Zip Compression benchmark with settings of Test: Compression Rating. Ryzen 9 7950X3D was the fastest.
Stockfish benchmark with settings of Total Time. Ryzen 9 7950X was the fastest.
asmFish benchmark with settings of 1024 Hash Memory, 26 Depth. Ryzen 9 7950X was the fastest.
libavif avifenc benchmark with settings of Encoder Speed: 2. Core i9 14900K was the fastest.

Avifenc was another image encode benchmark where the Core i9 14900K was able to now outperform the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X.

Timed Godot Game Engine Compilation benchmark with settings of Time To Compile. Ryzen 9 7950X3D was the fastest.
Timed Linux Kernel Compilation benchmark with settings of Build: defconfig. Core i9 14900K was the fastest.
Timed Linux Kernel Compilation benchmark with settings of Build: allmodconfig. Ryzen 9 7950X was the fastest.
Timed LLVM Compilation benchmark with settings of Build System: Ninja. Ryzen 9 7950X3D was the fastest.
Timed Mesa Compilation benchmark with settings of Time To Compile. Core i9 14900K was the fastest.
Timed Node.js Compilation benchmark with settings of Time To Compile. Ryzen 9 7950X3D was the fastest.

If considering the Intel Core i9 14900K for a code compilation heavy / developer box, it largely depends upon the code-base for how well the Core i9 14900K will perform. With clock speeds up to 6.0GHz, the Core i9 14900K did perform very well for smaller code-bases mostly while the 16 Zen 4 cores was of more benefit in other workloads.

Timed Node.js Compilation benchmark with settings of Time To Compile. Ryzen 9 7950X3D was the fastest.

The Core i9 14900K during code compilation was pulling more power than the other CPUs tested.
