For web browser workloads the Ryzen 7 7840HS tends to perform very similarly to the Ryzen 7 7840U, the fellow 8-core / 16-thread Zen 4 mobile processor found in the Framework Laptop 13 and many other laptops. It's mostly for the more demanding workloads where the Ryzen 7 7840HS can provide better performance and also compete on power efficiency, but in any case even for browser workloads AMD Zen 4 laptops are beating out the new Intel Meteor Lake laptops like the Acer Swift Go 14 with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H.

GLmark2 benchmark with settings of Resolution: 1920 x 1080. TUXEDO Pulse 14 Gen 3 - Ryzen 7 7840HS was the fastest.

For some graphics tests the TUXEDO Pulse 14 Gen 3 was delivering better integrated graphics performance than the Framework Laptop 16, but there is also the Radeon RX 7700S discrete graphics option available with the Framework Laptop 16, which will be tested in a separate article.

But when moving to code compilation / developer workloads and other creator applications is where the Framework Laptop 16 immediately begins to jump in front of the other tested laptops.
