The expansion slots on this motherboard include one PCI Express x16, two PCI Express x1, and three PCI slots. Due to the size and orientation of the northbridge, the PCI Express x16 slot is located between the PCI Express x1 and PCI slots. This chipset does support AMD Hybrid Graphics. The AMD 780G Northbridge is concealed by a rather wide but passive heatsink. On top of this heatsink is an ECS Black series logo.

Finally reaching the CPU socket, this area is free from any obstructions with stock or after-market heatsinks/water-blocks. The Phenom Quad-Core AM2+ processors are supported by this motherboard as well as the older AMD Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2, and Sempron processors. The 780G Chipset provides a HyperTransport 3.0 interface. Amongst the power circuitry surrounding the CPU socket is a 4-pin ATX power connection.

The I/O panel ports include PS/2, one eSATA (External SATA), six USB 2.0, one Gigabit ethernet, three audio (line-in, line-out, microphone-in), one VGA, and one HDMI port. An Atheros Attansic ASIC powers the Gigabit networking on this motherboard and the 8-channel audio is backed by an IDT 92HD206XX5 part.
