The start-up time for many of the Linux distributions have improved with their latest updates, but Clear Linux remains much faster for booting than all of the others. The speed for booting a new instance can be important if trying to scale a quickly changing workload.

Intel's slimmed down kernel for Clear Linux spends just a quarter of a second booting.
