The performance of the Crucial MX100 128GB SSD is in good shape considering the low cost. I ran some benchmarks of the MX100 CT128MX100SSD1 against a Western Digital 150GB VelociRaptor HDD (WD1500HLHX-0), Samsung 840 EVO SSD 128GB, and the OCZ Vertex 3 240GB SSD for reference purposes.

For this latest Linux solid-state drive benchmarking, all four drives were formatted to the EXT4 file-system, the test system was running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, and the kernel was upgraded to Linux 3.15.

All of this disk drive benchmarking was handled via the Phoronix Test Suite.
