AMDVLK vs. AMDGPU-PRO vs. Mesa RADV Testing

The first game at bat was Batman: Arkham Origins which runs on Linux through Steam Play (Proton) and the Direct3D 11 calls being dynamically translated to Vulkan using DXVK. In this several year old Batman game, the performance was similar between the three drivers for the Polaris card (sans the 18.50 driver being a few frames lower) but with the RX Vega 64 graphics card the 18.50 "PRO" driver had the advantage by nearly 10% at 1440p.

When pushing Batman: Arkham Origins at 4K, the frame-rates were much closer on the Vega GPU and in fact the 18.50 driver falling behind. Worth pointing out from this test was Mesa's RADV driver having a significantly higher peak frame-rate than the two other AMD Vulkan driver options.

Under Dota 2 at 4K, the 18.50 Vulkan driver was faster on both graphics cards. The minimum frame-rate was also much better on the 18.50 driver than with RADV or AMDVLK.

Dawn of War III was crashing with the 18.50 driver while RADV was much faster than the current AMDVLK driver code-base.
