AMDGPU vs. Radeon Kernel Driver Performance On Linux 5.0 For AMD GCN 1.0/1.1 GPUs
In the other Linux gaming tests, using AMDGPU on these original GCN graphics processors continued yielding slightly better performance than the default Radeon DRM.
With a few quick workstation graphics tests using ParaView, the results were mixed but still AMDGPU had some slight gains and when it lost it was by slim margins.
Unigine Heaven also performed slightly better with the AMDGPU kernel driver.
