AMD's MultiView On Linux

Aside from the aforementioned limitations, we also ran into a few other bugs with MultiView. Some of the issues were as simple as the numbered display boxes in AMDCCCLE layered on top of each other that made it hard to view. With the four displays we used, two of them were 1280 x 1024 LCDs while the third was running at 1680 x 1050 and the fourth at 1920 x 1200. This complicated matters and had caused a few issues as you can see from the various photographs of this test setup.

MultiView still has a few issues to work through as you can see, but it is darn nice and need we say much better than using Xinerama. This should be an ideal solution once all of the initial bugs are worked out and the support has stabilized over the course of a few releases. It would also be great if Radeon graphics cards were supported by MultiView, but right now it's limited to the FireGL series unless you are up for a bit of AMDPCSDB tweaking.
