The last time we had an ECS Elitegroup product in our facilities was when sampling the ECS PF5 Extreme back in February of this year. This i945P + ICH7R solution had performed fairly well, with a set of well-rounded features. The motherboard we have our hands on this time around from ECS Elitegroup is the C19-A SLI. The ECS C19-A SLI boasts official support for Scalable Link Interface (SLI) thanks to the NVIDIA C19XE + MCP51 combination, as well as formally supporting most of the features that the Chipset offers. Among the added benefits are Gigabit LAN and Realtek ALC883 8-channel audio. At Phoronix, we have put the ECS Elitegroup C19-A SLI through its rigorous paces, and today we have up our findings from this long investigation.

Since we last looked at an ECS Elitegroup product in the form of the PF5 Extreme, the design folks at ECS have certainly taken some strides to create a vibrant package for the C19-A SLI. On the exterior is a sword wielding mythical warrior, and listed all over the packaging are the features and specifications -- ranging from using the nForce4 SLI XE Chipset to supporting a 1066MHz FSB CPU. Inside of the container was the C19-A SLI ATX motherboard itself, user manual, Windows driver CD, NVIDIA SLI insert, IDE ribbon cable, FDD ribbon cable, SLI bridge, SLI bracket, I/O bracket, one SATA power cable, and one SATA data cable. For being a budget-oriented motherboard, the included accessories should be sufficient for most basic setups.
