As some may have heard, via Twitter or in other communications, with Phoronix Test Suite 3.2-Grimstad we'll be ramping up several key areas of our open-source benchmarking software and with our collaborative testing platform, OpenBenchmarking.org, and our continuous integration system, Phoromatic. From this already, Half-Life 2 and 3DMark are running by the Phoronix Test Suite.

One of the projects we're working with is Wine/CrossOver for continuous performance testing and regression tracking. Improvements are being worked on within the Phoronix Test Suite and OpenBenchmarking.org for better Windows and Wine support, these will be committed soon. Stefan Dösinger of CodeWeavers / Wine has also been contributing and as a result there is already support for running the Phoronix Test Suite with Half-Life 2 and 3DMark. These test profiles will appear on OpenBenchmarking.org shortly, but the first results are already working and were pushed out this morning by Stefan.

More test profiles targeted for Wine testing will also be coming. The first bits of "Ekofisk", the next-generation Phoromatic implementation built atop OpenBenchmarking.org APIs is also beginning to function. Phoronix Test Suite 3.2-Grimstad is due out next quarter and many more features and other enhancements are coming soon. Your feature requests and other feedback is also always welcome.

Besides Wine, another project being focused on is the Low-Level Virtual Machine. Matthew Tippett and I will be talking a bit about this next month at the Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit's LLVM track.
