With most WiFi adapters and other network hardware having native Linux drivers these days, there hasn't been much to report on with the NDISwrapper project in months -- the project that allows using Windows network drivers on Linux. Changing that is today's NDISwrapper 1.59 release.

The NDISwrapper 1.59 release now supports Linux kernels from Linux 2.6.13 up through Linux 3.12 for kernel compatibility. The NDISwrapper 1.59 release also now supports having a 32-bit user-space on a 64-bit Linux kernel. Lastly, there's a fix for a kernel hang if the NDIS driver loader exits with an error.

The brief details on the NDISwrapper 1.59 release can be found via the mailing list announcement.
