First up was 1280 x 1024 tests to see what the performance looks like when rather CPU bound.

With low quality settings at 1280 x 1024, the Vulkan renderer was faster in delivering a 103 FPS average versus 72 with OpenGL. Again, Mesa 17.1-dev paired with Linux 4.11 was used during testing.

When moving to high image quality settings at this low resolution, the performance was now very close between the OpenGL and Vulkan drivers while both were below a 30 FPS average.

With ultra image quality settings, the OpenGL vs. Vulkan performance is still similar but even less playable.
