At least Xonotic is able to maintain the same performance with high quality settings.

Next steps are to try out Intel Sandy Bridge graphics on Mesa 8.1-devel, also pull in the very latest Git code (this testing happened days ago), and then if needed to fire up the Phoronix Test Suite auto-bisecting module.
