Trying Out The Modern Linux Desktops With 4 Monitors + AMD/NVIDIA Graphics

The AMD Catalyst Control Center for Linux (AMDCCCLE) also does a dandy job at handling monitor configuration when using the proprietary AMD Catalyst Linux driver. Everything continues to "just work" and the proprietary AMD/NVIDIA Linux driver configuration interfaces continue to be better than what's offered by the open-source drivers.

While the AMD and NVIDIA binary driver control panels offer a lot of options, the AMD/NVIDIA configuration interfaces still aren't as feature-rich as the Windows control panels when it comes to other display/GPU-related features.

While the AMD Catalyst control panel works fine, I tend to prefer NVIDIA's control panel for monitor configuration as it feels more streamlined, but that may just be personal preference. Like NVIDIA's driver, Catalyst does support modern versions of the X Resize and Rotate extension too, so you can use any common Linux RandR program for monitor adjustments.
