Serious Sam 3 BFE with Vulkan is faster on Mesa 18.0, similar to the gains found with Dota 2.

The open-source Tesseract game found its performance unchanged.

Tomb Raider was also virtually indifferent with Mesa 18.0.

There also was no performance changes to note with the Unigine benchmarks.

Long story short, with the three modern Radeon graphics cards tested, the OpenGL performance with Mesa 18.0 for RadeonSI is fairly similar to Mesa 17.3 except for any isolated fixes. But at least with the RADV Vulkan driver we are seeing more significant performance improvements as RADV works towards feature parity with the official AMD Vulkan driver and closing in on the performance of the RadeonSI OpenGL driver. While the performance may not be any exciting story with Mesa 18.0 overall, compared to past releases, at least there are plenty of other changes and new features. Look for Mesa 18.0.0 to be released by mid-February.
