AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition Is A Letdown On Linux
While the AMD Crimson slide about Linux performance cites BioShock Infinite as "112%" the performance with this driver update, this wasn't the case in my Ubuntu testing on any of the three graphics cards... The performance was basically flat.
With the Metro 2033 Redux game, the R9 290 and R9 285 graphics cards are slower with Crimson 15.11 than with Catalyst 15.9! The R7 370 performance was flat.
With the slightly different Metro Redux game, the Radeon R9 290 performance was noticeably slower... The R7 370 meanwhile was faster with the new Radeon Software.
