On the opposite side of the graphics card is the back-plate for keeping the HD 2900XT cooler in place as well as the part number stickers. The internal CrossFire connector is also visible from this side of the graphics card. With the Radeon X1950 series we saw an internal CrossFire connector, which was a move away from the external connector and the need for a "Master" graphics card. The HD 2900XT continues in this fashion with an internal connector; however, don't expect anything to change with CrossFire and the new fglrx driver. NVIDIA's MultiGPU SLI support has been everything but stellar for Linux and it looks like AMD will continue focusing upon single GPU configurations for Linux.
