After several exciting display driver releases in the 8.20 series, the 8.30 fglrx series thus far has been relatively ho-hum. However, is there anything exciting in the works for these drivers? With these 8.31.5 display drivers coming out only two weeks after 8.30.3, the development cycle for 8.32.x will be longer than normal. Only time will be able to tell what is really in store for these drivers. The key change in this release is the fix for X-Video with video tearing and shaking in the Radeon X1000 series. No major performance changes can be spotted in these 8.31.5 drivers. As always, we have an active ATI Linux discussion taking place in the Phoronix Forums.
