AHCI vs. IDE Linux Performance Benchmarks

Hitting OpenBenchmarking.org this weekend are some interesting benchmarks comparing performance of AHCI vs. IDE modes under Linux from an AMD Fusion system.

A Phoronix Test Suite user has uploaded these AHCI vs. IDE disk comparison results from an AMD E-350 system with a Toshiba hard drive. On the software side was SUSE Linux 12.1 with the Linux 3.5 kernel. The file-system being used during this disk benchmarking was Btrfs.
