For the simplistic Java SciMark benchmarks, OpenJDK 11 amounted to being the fastest JVM tested of the bunch. GraalVM 20.1 CE meanwhile was the slowest and the OpenJ9 performance was in line with the slowest OpenJDK 14 configuration.

GraalVM 20.1 did outperform OpenJ9 and OpenJDK in some of the SciMark sub-tests like the FFT performance.

When it came to the Java Gradle build performance using Reactor, GraalVM 20.1 in its Java 8 mode was the fastest.

The DaCapo Benchmarks were led by a mix of OpenJDK releases./
