Both sides of the case offer ventilation areas for extra air circulation. On the left hand side of the case the ventilation area is near the power supply, while on the right hand side it is near the CPU socket. No fans can be mounted directly in either of these areas. The SilverStone CW01 is also rack-mount ready for those interested in the chassis for a server environment or media rack. At the rear of the case are the standard ATX fittings for the I/O panel, expansion slots, and power supply. The CW01 provides two 80mm exhaust fans, which run at 2050RPM and 21dBA. Metal fan grills protect both of these two fans. At the front of the case is also room for mounting two 80mm fans.

Finally opening up the case we see that it does boast several minor changes to provide more possibilities over the LC18. Next to the dual 5.25" drive bays is room for five 3.5" hard drives. The hard drive mounting area is positioned perpendicular to the layout of the 5.25" drive bays. The internal 3.5" drive bay area allows for mounting of additional fans to provide a great deal of airflow. A second set of ventilation holes are also positioned on the bottom of the case near the previously mentioned power supply vent. The SilverStone Crown CW01 is able to accommodate motherboard form factors up to and including standard ATX. With the CW01 being targeted as a high-end multimedia server case, it is unfortunate that an extended ATX (EATX) motherboard will not fit.
