A 10-Way Linux Distribution Battle To Kick Off 2016
With the NAS Parallel Benchmark's "embarrassingly parallel" test, Clear Linux 5700 was the fastest followed by Fedora 23. Debian Linux 8.2 meanwhile was by far the slowest distribution tested.
With the MAFFT scientific workload, Clear Linux 5700 was again the fastest distribution tested out of the 10 at play.
With the exception of Debian Linux 8.2, the other distributions were running close to the same speed for the heavily-optimized x264 video encoding benchmark.
With the Himeno poisson pressure solver workload, Debian Testing, OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, Ubuntu 15.10, and Antergos 2015.12 were tied for being the fastest followed by Clear Linux and the other distributions.
