Intel's Embree and other Intel software oneAPI components saw Linux with a slight advantage over Windows on the Core i9 12900K desktop.

Intel's Scalable Video Technology (SVT) video encoders continue to exhibit better performance on Linux than Windows. SVT-AV1 performance was one of the areas showing better performance when moving to the newer Linux 5.18 kernel compared to Ubuntu 22.04's stock Linux 5.15 build.

Meanwhile for cases like x264 performance, it was quite similar between Windows and Linux with largely being bound by the hand-tuned Assembly code.
